2026 Aurora junior Classic Tournament

Welcome to the fourth annual Aurora Junior Classic!

This year's tournament will be held at the BWG Leisure Centre in Bradford, Ontario; July 10-12, 2026.

Last summer's inaugual tournament saw 12 AAA and Junior level prospects teams with 200+ players and numerous scouts walk through the doors to participate in the highly competitive weekend. 

The 2026 Tournament will feature 16 teams (two divisions of eight teams). All teams will participate in a 3-game round robin, with the top-2 seeded teams from each division advancing to the playoff bracket. The round robin will take place on Friday & Saturday with Playoffs Sunday.

Players can register individually online through the registration link.

Summer teams may register to the event through the forms above - teams will be subject to acceptance based on level. All player's will be receiving a three game guarantee with playoff championships being played on Sunday..

Players signing up individually will be placed onto teams. The 2026 showcase will be hosting one Junior division that will feature players born 2006-2010. To guarantee your spot, players need to register by July 6th. Registration will close when all spots have been filled.

2026 Tournament Format:
• Each team will play a 3 game round robin within their division.
• The top two teams from each Dvision will advance to the quarter--finals

Game Format:
Warm up: 3 Minutes
1st Half: 25 Minutes Stop Time
Ice Cut
2nd Half: 25 Minutes Stop Time

Games in round robin which end Tied after regulation, will have a three-round shootout.
If game remains tied, one person at a time shootout until winner is determined.

Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Finals:
Playoff Games will have 20 minute, two periods
If the game is tied, a three round shootout.

Tournament Rules:
• 5 on 5 play
• Two-minute penalties, Expires if goal is scored
• Automatic icing rules, non-touch. Teams permitted to change
• Zero tolerance for dirty play, fighting, fighting is kicked out of game
• No hitting, only positional containment contact
• Warm up 3 minutes, starting right away. No anthem or starting lineups
• Full face shields are highly recommended. Neck guards, mouth guards are mandatory.

Top two teams advance based on:
1. Most Points
2. Most Wins
3. Head to Head
4. Least Goals Against
5. Most Goals For
6. Flip a Coin
